Things are going well, even being back at work. It is nice to kind of get back to my career while still being a wife and a mother. As much as I would love to be a stay at home mom, I don't think I would feel like my life was complete. I was driving to work today thinking about how I have reached all my main goals in life... I am a teacher, married, own a home (although we want a bigger one), and have a child. I am very excited about the way my life has turned out and I am very thankful for all those who make my life that much more special.
O.k. enough about ME... let's talk Bailey! Bailey is back to daycare and being the big hit :). Deanna was very impressed with how strong she is...makes me proud every time I hear that. Wes says that she is a total Williams with her strength (hey! us Parkers are strong too!!!). She had her 4 month check up and weighed in at 12 pounds and 5 ounces. She was also almost 24 inches. She is in the 25th percentile for both weight and height. The doctor was ALSO impressed by her strength and said we should be working on sitting up with her. She is doing really well with that already! She also mentioned we could start her on rice cereal. We tried it on Saturday night but I don't think I made it right ( I know...how hard could it be right? haha). She was o.k. with it for the 1st taste or so but then gave me this look like "Please don't give me anymore", so we stopped. We will try again maybe this weekend. She has been VERY interested in the food we eat and reaches for either the food or the fork/spoon itself.
Bailey has found a love for catalog's that I get in the mail! She reaches and grabs at them, then proceeds to rip them up. I realized last night that that probably wasn't a good habit to get into, so I gave her a Christmas present early. I gave her a toy that crinkles (she loves that stuff) and it looks like a book. She had two of her favorite things and was a happy girl.
We also got another laugh out of her (well Wes did). I will post the video so you can see! It is very cute to see how excited Wes was, it truly does melt my heart when I see him that into our daughter. I am very blessed to have a great husband and a fantastic father for Bailey.
Picture time!!!!
Claire she is such a cutie. I love her laugh, it is so fun to watch them do new things. I love looking at all your pictures.
ReplyDeleteFirst, congratulations on reaching all your major life goals, that is an accomplishment that not everyone reaches and you deserve all the happiness in the world for working so hard! Way to go.
ReplyDeleteNow on to Bailey...the sleeping with the butt up is sooo cute! And what a face...I don't blame her for hating rice cereal...it's groose! ha ha ha
Thanks for sharing your life with the world... I love seeing how you are doing :-)
