As she approaches 4 months old...

I go back to work tomorrow after our November break. Three weeks and then we have two more weeks off for Christmas. I then have to wait until about March/April for our next break. As it does make me sad to go back to work, Pam made me realize that I am very lucky to have these breaks throughout the year. Tomorrow is going to be like going back to work the first time, I am hoping I don't have another crying session after dropping her off at daycare again. Oh well.

So we have a laughing baby! Yesterday while doing laundry I decided to get the arm of my shirt and just tap Bailey in the face with it, she smiled and kind of cooed when I did it...so of course I continued. It turned into me putting it in her face and her laughing real hysterical laughs! I wanted to get it on camera but Wes and I were just living in the moment together, with huge smiles on our faces. It truly was an awesome moment. Wes said later that it made him just as happy as he was when she was born! Our little girl is gaining such personality and her laugh seriously warmed our hearts. I can't wait until she laughs like that again and I can show all of you who still follow this blog! Her laughing came after I was talking with Wes about how sad I was to go back to work, maybe it was her way of telling me that it will be ok! I love our little girl so much.

Bailey is still rolling about and playing more and more with her toys. She is sleeping well at night still and sometimes I walk in and she is playing in her crib before she falls asleep. I am so thankful we have a baby who can put herself to sleep! We of course still go in there about 3 times to put her paci back in before she is asleep for the night.

Not much more to report right now, but I leave you with some pictures! (The best part!)

This picture cracks me up!

She loves her daddy! She thinks he is so funny.

I put her in a cute outfit I got from Gap and did a photo shoot today :)

My new little hobby: Bows for Bailey

I have become a bit obsessed with crochet hats and bows for Bailey. Since I have attempted and failed at crocheting, I unfortunately can't save money by making my own hats for her. After looking on various websites, people sell bows for way too much! So, off to the store I went... to buy some ribbon. I got home to look at videos and instructions online and ended up making a few bows. Some of them I am not completely happy with and still have to work on, but some I am completely happy with! I have been having fun making these so that is all that matters. I hope to get good at them and maybe give some as gifts. Here are some pictures of the first ones I have made...

Ooops sideways pictures... turn your head and they will be right side up!

Nice drool Bailey!

These are my favorite bows...
It was upside down...oops

Here it is the right way...

So those are some of the bows I have made so far. I do not make the headbands, but have them in about 12 colors (with more to come!) :). I make the bows, put them on a clip and clip them to the headbands. So if you see pictures of Bailey with bows on in the future...most likely they will be ones I have made! It is a fun little hobby. As Jen Jen told me the other day...motherhood has made me crafty. I have been having fun with it, even if I am not very good at it.

Auntie Jen Jen comes to Reno

In a previous post I mentioned how special Jen is to me, so it meant a great deal that she made the trip up here to spend time with Bailey...and me (but mainly Bailey). It was so great having her here! We mainly spent our time playing with Bailey, drinking yummy coffee, shopping, and eating food we would normally not eat (yummy pizookie!). Jen also got to witness the first time Bailey rolled over from her back to belly (she is the other excited voice in the 1st video in previous post).

I am so very excited that Jen is going to be such a great part of Bailey's life. I know how much it still means to me today how involved and special some of my parents friends are to me to this day. I am happy Bailey will have that as well...not with just Jen but with a handful (large handful) of my dearest friends.

Here are some pictures from her too short of a visit last weekend!

Bailey on her way to a day full of shopping. She didn't fuss once!! Such a good girl :)

One of our many purchases for her

Already learning the importance of money

I think a full day of shopping wore somebody out!!

Means a lot to me how much Jen adores Bailey :)
(Those pants are another purchase from the weekend)

Me and two very special girls!

I couldn't cut any of the pictures out of that sequence...they are all just too dang cute!

Thanks for coming Jen! We already miss you.

We have a roller!!

Bailey is 15 weeks today! She rolled from her back to belly for the first time on Sunday when Jen was here and we got it on video!! Today Wes and I put her on her play mat and she went to town rolling from back to tummy then back to her back. She started to get fussy so we put her in the pack n play to relax. She rolled to her tummy and realized how comfy it was so she passed out that way. I have some pictures of Jen's trip here that I will write about later, but I wanted to post about Bailey rolling in a separate post since it is a big milestone!! So proud of our little girl :).

This is her first time rolling over from her back to belly..

Videos of her today rolling over...

...and she's pooped! This is also the first time she has slept on her belly.

While working on this post Bailey has woken up. She keeps crying on her belly so I roll her to her back and minutes later she is back on her belly. We think she is SUPER determined to crawl, a little soon I know... but she looks like she is on a mission.

First cold

After I started feeling better, Bailey got sick. She had a stuffy nose and a little cough. Poor girl was kind of miserable for 2 nights, leaving us with little sleep. I called her pediatrician but I got a call back from the head doctor of the practice instead. He said to get the humidifier going (which I had already done before I called), use saline drops, and elevate her head. Once we did all of that she got better fast! I am so glad the runny/stuffy nose is over because I am horrible at sucking those little boogers out :). Wes is a pro at it though! I feel so bad because I probably got her sick, but I am so happy because she is finally feeling better and sleeping longer at night!

Here are some pictures for ya...she is still cute when she isn't feeling great.

I was showing Bailey the Pottery Barn Kids catalog. She thought I was crazy for wanting all the fun things in there...
Mommy kisses!!!

The best 3 months ever!

Three months ago today our lives changed for the best. The cutest and sweetest baby girl joined us in this world. Wes and I talk daily about how lucky we are and how amazing we think Bailey is. We love you Bailey Victoria!

Nothing too new to report on milestones, she is still working hard to roll over from her back to tummy. She was trying so hard today and when I helped her over, she totally smiled like she loved rolling over. We have been putting her in her new chair more and she is starting to play with the toys on it, very neat to watch her grow from day to day!

Enjoy the new pictures! By the way, I am completely obsessed with taking pictures of her every move and I have a hard time choosing which ones I want to put up. Also, click on the videos on the right side of the blog...I added some new ones!

Bath time!!

Learning how to play with the toys on it!

Her thumb and her Winkle...makes for a happy baby!

Wes came home while I was doing pictures and set her up like this

Sneezes!!

Our little Elmer Fudd...Wes loves her in this hat

She was not thrilled...I think she was done with pictures, hats, and wardrobe changes

While I was trying to take pictures of her today...
...we went through this process a few times too many today.
