Zebra girl

A dear friend, Jenny, sends Bailey some clothes that her daughter outgrows. This zebra onsie is one of my favorites so far :)

Uncle Spidey came over to hang out with me and Bailey...

I think she may FINALLY be getting a tooth! She was sitting in her high chair laughing and I very quickly saw something white! I made Wes take her and make her laugh so I could try and get a picture. She will NOT let us look or feel in there, so this is the best I could get. You really can't see it here but when I zoomed in a bit, we could see it on the bottom center to the left (her right tooth). The orange cheeks are from the carrots she let me spoon feed her!!! Yay!

She found her tongue!

Wes put Bailey in his chair at his computer. She was having a blast hitting the keys and also sliding the keyboard back and forth.

All of a sudden I noticed she was sticking out her tongue, so I did it too. She thought it was the funniest thing. She must have have just realized she has a tongue! She is too funny.

I put some slippers on Bailey that someone gave Bailey at my baby shower. She looks like such a big girl here!

She eats!

I am not sure if I have written about how Bailey has been having a hard time with eating. She used to eat everything in sight and now she refuses to be spoon fed and is VERY picky about her food. Tonight I gave her shredded up chicken and some shredded cheese. She was very excited about it. FINALLY, she eats!

I need to start taking some more video of Bailey since she is getting so close to doing new things. Tonight she stood for such a long time without holding on to anything, very cool! Here is a video I took of her while she was playing with one of her favorite toys, the remote. She is getting so big!

I was folding laundry tonight and Bailey decided to "help" me. More like she pulled the clothes off the couch and make me refold them!

I got the eggs out to distract her, so I could finish doing a few things and she had the biggest smile on her face. I think the eggs are her favorite now. :)

Bailey's 1st Easter

Bailey and I went to our friend Sarah's house since Wes had to work. Caden and Tessa set up a little egg hunt for Bailey at her house. Bailey obviously didn't get the concept, but she sure had a lot of fun putting the plastic eggs in her mouth.

Well, I learned one thing this Easter and that is...just buy plastic eggs! All Bailey wanted to do is shake the eggs to hear her treats inside and then shove the eggs in her mouth.

A milestone she is reaching: Standing for a longer period of time without holding on to anything. I think she is up to about 5 seconds! Very exciting. She is also cruising around her toys and the couch faster and faster.

Tessa made a wall of stuffed animals for Bailey to play with, it was really cute.

She loves Jeopardy too!

Bailey started getting a bit fussy...until Jeopardy came on. I have no idea what draws her in, but she loves this show! She never really pays attention to the T.V. when it is on, except for when Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune are on. I think it has to do with the familiarity (they are on every night), colors, and all the different beeping sounds. I remember always watching these shows with my mom every night, pretty cool I get to watch them with my daughter now.

I got home from work today and we had a package from my parents. They sent Bailey a couple things for Easter. I am so bad, I couldn't wait till Easter to give it to her...so I gave it to her early. Wes won't be home for Easter anyways, so I wanted him to be there when she got it. :) Here are some pictures of her with her new doggy that sings and talks. She kept going back and playing with it. Then when she would stop and crawl away, it would say something. So then she would turn back around and go back to check it out again.

She had major bubbles and spit coming out of her mouth when she was eating dinner, so I wanted to capture the moment. She was making some silly faces for the camera!



The first time I heard her say "mama" was tonight while she was eating! Of course she has no idea that I am Mama, but it was exciting to finally hear that instead of the constant "dada".

Sweet potato fries

Bailey has not been wanting to eat solids lately and I am thinking that it is because she doesn't want to be spoon fed anymore. Tonight I cooked up some sweet potatoes so that she could pick them up and eat them herself. At first she played with them but then started to chew on some. She didn't eat much but it was progress since she has been refusing food lately.

While eating, Bailey kept signing "milk". We don't know if she knows that is what she was actually signing (we have been practicing it for awhile) but I got her a little milk (well...formula) and put it in a sippy cup. She kept signing milk and grabbing the sippy cup to take a drink. It really looked like she knew what she was signing. I sure hope so because I started to think she would never learn it.

Adding to the collection

I doubt anybody noticed, but I didn't post yesterday. It was my first day back to work and I didn't have an extra second to take a picture of Bailey and post it on here. Instead, I chose to go relax and watch tv, I needed some down time. Today Bailey and I got our order from BabyLegs! I ordered some leg warmers and socks for Bailey while the website was having an awesome sale. I am grounding myself from buying Bailey anymore socks or leg warmers for a little while (a short while of course!). Bailey was very excited about playing with the wrappers and chewing on them, I was excited about all the cute new things to put on her.

Break is over...

Well, today was the last day of my month long vacation. I still feel like I am going to get to be home with Bailey tomorrow, it is going to be a hard morning. It is going to take a bit to get back into the routine of taking her to day care and getting in to the swing of things at work. One thing will make my routine a little easier and that is the fact that I no longer am pumping. She is just getting the milk I have in the freezer and formula. It was a hard choice but I am feeling pretty good about it now.

So tonight I walked out of Bailey's room to grab the camera, since I hadn't taken any pictures yet, and I heard a door shut! I walked back to see that she had shut her bedroom door, that silly girl. I opened the door and took a picture of her smiling and laughing thinking she was so funny. She then started to lunge forward to shut the door again. Isn't she a little too young to be shutting the door on her mommy? I thought we had a good 14 or so years until that began.

I was getting the bath ready and she decided to come in and help. Well, maybe not help...she just wanted to bang on the toilet lid. We need to get this girl a drum!

Another new discovery!

Yesterday I said that I was wondering what Bailey would discover today. Well, the answer is...the toilet paper roll. I thought I had closed the bathroom door, like we have been doing the past couple of weeks, but I didn't hear her banging on the door to get in. I went to check on her and she was having a blast playing with the roll. I had to snap a few pictures before pulling her away.

She also loves to stand holding on to the couch or my legs...

After sitting and watching her stand and cruise around the couch and other things in the room, I realized how big she is getting! She went over to the jumperoo and was holding on to the pole with one hand while pushing on the seat with the other hand. What happened to our little baby who was so small??
