Cherish these moments

I am told everyday to cherish these moments with Bailey. Let me tell you, I am cherishing every minute with her since I know she will grow so fast, but also because I have to go back to work in 5 days. I look at her all day and think "what am I going to do when I don't get to spend all day with you? I am going to miss you!". Bailey is growing up so fast these days and I don't want to miss her smiles and coos while I am at work. I only have to get through 4 weeks until we have another break for a month.

Yesterday we went to dinner in Tahoe with my brother Danny's mother and father in-law. It was Bailey's first time up there so of course we got some pictures! I can't wait until she is big enough to play in the water and really enjoy it. I must also add that Wes was very proud of his outfit choice for our outing.

This week has been hard on me in terms of breastfeeding. I am beginning to dread every feeding and get frustrated when I do feed her. I am in the middle of trying to decide whether to just suck it up or primarily pump and just feed her out of a bottle. I feel like a quitter if I do end up just pumping, so it has been kind of hard on me. So for now, I am just doing both and seeing how it goes.

Bailey goes for her 2 month check up and shots on Wednesday. I am so sad I can't go but she needs to get in before she starts daycare on Friday. I will make sure I give Wes a list of questions and have him tell me every detail. How am I going to focus on teaching when I will have my baby on my mind all day?? Not looking forward to Wednesday.

My computer is going to the computer doctor so I don't know when I will post next, hopefully I get it back soon. I will leave this post with some pictures from this week...Bailey Victoria at 7 weeks.

Talkin' and a movin'

Another video of Bailey this morning. She loves to just hang out in her Pack N Play and entertain herself. She is pretty awesome!

Finding her voice

Bailey has been talking up a storm this morning but of course when I go to tape it, she gets a bit shy! I love hearing her trying to figure out her voice! :)

All smiles at 6 weeks

Bailey Victoria is now 6 weeks! She is amazing me everyday at how fast she is growing and learning. Bailey's smiles have gone from those smiles she gets when she has gas to true smiles. She smiles at me a lot when I change her and when we play. Daddy even got a smile today and I know it melts his heart just as much as it melts mine. She is starting to explore with her hands by grabbing at her blanket, ears, or just playing with them. Right now sitting here doing the blog she is sitting in her Boppy pillow on the couch and not sliding down like she used to. It's so neat to watch her check everything out and actually be able to focus on it. I make sure to always have my camera near by just in case she does something new...something I won't be able to do when I go back to work in two weeks.

O.K. Maybe that was a big excessive on the pictures but I couldn't help it...she is just so dang cute!

Well a huge weight is lifted off my shoulders...daycare. We have committed to a lady who watches about 6 or less kids at her home. Wes and I went over to the house and met with her last week and we really liked her, she seems to know what she is doing...always a good thing. Her house is small but cute and very dedicated to kids. The backyard has swings, cars, and a really cool treehouse (all of which Bailey is way too young for). Bailey will go to her on Mondays and Fridays while Wes will be home with her on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Thank goodness we only need two days because I don't know how we would afford a full week! This lady is also very flexible with my breaks that I take since I am year round. Now I have room to stress about something else...if it's not one thing, it's another.

Here is a picture of Bailey wearing the hat that matches the blanket my Aunt made for her.

And this one just cracks me up...

One month and counting...

Bailey has hit the one month mark! I swear she is growing so quickly. She has been sleeping and eating so much lately so I figured it was a growth spurt. I am pretty sure I was right since when she woke up today she was smiling and talking a lot more. She is becoming so much more aware of her surroundings, it's really cool. When we put her in her Pack N Play she is able to just hang out by herself while looking around and making noises, she is becoming a little more independent already! Seeing this growth makes me so sad I have to go back to work in 3 weeks. She is even almost out of her newborn clothes...she is wearing some newborns and some 0-3 months. I am excited though because she has some really cute 0-3 month old clothes!!

This past weekend my brother got married in Petaluma, which is in northern California. It was such a nice wedding and great weekend. I must admit, it was a bit stressful since it was Bailey's first overnight/weekend trip away from home, but we survived. I feel like I couldn't completely relax and enjoy because we were still trying to figure it all out, but it was good practice for the next trip! I am a bit nervous for longer trips because I already pack too much for myself, poor Bailey will have her whole room packed up! When I was packing for the wedding, Wes commented on how we needed to take the crib too...funny guy.

Aunt Ali-Sun with Bailey when we first got to the hotel...

While getting ready for the wedding, I was running a bit behind and asked Wes to give Bailey her first bottle...she took it like a champ!
