Snowy Day

Here is the SECOND daily picture (I wonder how long I can keep this up!). I want to update you all EVERY day with either a picture or video of Bailey. I will also be doing my normal updates but I thought a picture a day would be fun!
It has snowed a few times this season, but I have never taken Bailey outside in it (outside of her being in her car seat going to the car). So today we put on the snow suit Jen Jen and her mom gave her and took a few pictures. Her "first" time in the snow! I can't wait until she is old enough to play in it!

L.O.V.E.

I have been having an overwhelming feeling of love for this little girl. Just when I think I couldn't POSSIBLY love her more...tomorrow comes. With every laugh and smile, my heart melts and I fall more in love with her. I love you Bailey Victoria!

This is the start of my attempt to update a picture or video a day on top of my weekly (trying to be weekly) updates.

1st Christmas for our baby girl!

This was not only Bailey's 1st Christmas, but it was also her 1st trip to the town (er...city) where I was born and raised. It seemed like it was going to be a long trip with SO much time to see people, that was SO not the case. We only got to visit with a few people since it got to be a bit overwhelming for her and we wanted her to have some quiet time after visits. I feel really bad that I promised some people we would visit and we weren't able to. I guess that comes with being a parent, sometimes promises can't be kept...we just have to do what we feel is best for our kids.

I am very happy that Bailey was able to meet her great grandparents and also spend a great deal of time with her grandparents (Nana and Pops). Everyone seemed to really have a blast with Bailey. I was very happy with how great Bailey did with being around so many new people and things, as well as getting handed off all week like a football. We just feel bad that she had to sit in the car for so long on the road trip there and back (she did an awesome job though!!!). We got VERY lucky and never hit any snowy roads.

Our trip to L.A. ...

After the rain cleared a bit, and before the major down pour, we went to visit Jen and her parents...

They got her a giraffe, a book, and a cute outfit. Her eyes lit up when she saw the giraffe. She must love giraffes as much as her mommy. Jen also got me a necklace with her name and our birthstones, I am in love!

Bailey met a few dogs this trip...she sure loves animals already.

Our trip was cut short due to an issue we encountered with Bailey's lunch. Like Jen said that day...we needed to feed her if she is anything like me when I get hungry. :) Hope to see you again soon Barackman's (my 2nd family).

RIGHT after we got back to my parents to feed little miss Bailey, we had a HUGE downpour which resulted in the patio flooding up to the sliding doors. This was a common occurrence when it rained during my childhood. My dad already had the pump ready for Wes to turn on so we didn't end up with a dining room full of water. After the calm of the storm, we went to see Santa...along with 50 other kids. We decided food was more important than waiting about an hour and a half to take an overpriced picture with a Santa that Bailey would never remember. So we went and got some yummy and very large hamburgers with Nana and Pops.

The next day (Thursday) we had set aside some time to see my Grandparents. We had a few minutes before our "appointment" with them, so we decided to see Jen Jen since she lives right down the street from them. I was glad Jen got to see her again since her visit the day before was WAY too short, being her Godmother and all.
Jen Jen loves her Bailey Boo! Bailey is wearing an outfit from Jen Jen :)
XOXO Auntie Jen Jen!

We got to Grandma and Grandpa's and spent some time with them. It means SO much to us that Bailey was able to meet her Great Grandparents. We put Bailey on the floor to play and just hang out. She kept staring at my grandpa and giving him the biggest smiles, she sure was intrigued by him. It truly did warm my heart. I got some pictures of her with them, which was a main goal of the trip!

I love this one of them...
Bailey loves her gingerbread toy that her Great Grandma picked out for her :)

By the time we handed her over to her Great Grandpa, she was getting hungry and fussy. I am bummed because I wanted HAPPY pictures of her, but at least we got some pictures...that is all that matters.

Since we didn't get Bailey's picture with the mall Santa, we decided the next best thing was a picture of the singing/dancing Santa at my Grandparents...

Family photo with dancing Santa...

On Christmas Eve (which was the day we celebrated Christmas) we started out with breakfast with Danny and Erin before we headed to the cemetery to visit mom. After our visit at the cemetery, we met up with Ali-Sun and Tyler at the Hot Dog Show (Papoo's). Wes and I make sure we hit up my favorite childhood place to eat every time we go to L.A.

Bailey sure does love Uncle Danny's beard!

Back to the house to get ready for our Christmas celebration!

Present time! (Wes, Danny, Ali-Sun, and Erin)
Bailey got this awesome bunny chair :) I can't wait until she can use it!!

Here is the 1st present we opened...

She only cared about the paper!
We didn't get anymore pictures of presents since Pops was taking enough of his own.

We then changed Bailey into outfit #3 of the day...

Hanging with Pops after Christmas dinner (in outfit #4)...

Hope you all had a fantastic Christmas!!

Laughter is good for the heart

Things are going well, even being back at work. It is nice to kind of get back to my career while still being a wife and a mother. As much as I would love to be a stay at home mom, I don't think I would feel like my life was complete. I was driving to work today thinking about how I have reached all my main goals in life... I am a teacher, married, own a home (although we want a bigger one), and have a child. I am very excited about the way my life has turned out and I am very thankful for all those who make my life that much more special.

O.k. enough about ME... let's talk Bailey! Bailey is back to daycare and being the big hit :). Deanna was very impressed with how strong she is...makes me proud every time I hear that. Wes says that she is a total Williams with her strength (hey! us Parkers are strong too!!!). She had her 4 month check up and weighed in at 12 pounds and 5 ounces. She was also almost 24 inches. She is in the 25th percentile for both weight and height. The doctor was ALSO impressed by her strength and said we should be working on sitting up with her. She is doing really well with that already! She also mentioned we could start her on rice cereal. We tried it on Saturday night but I don't think I made it right ( I know...how hard could it be right? haha). She was o.k. with it for the 1st taste or so but then gave me this look like "Please don't give me anymore", so we stopped. We will try again maybe this weekend. She has been VERY interested in the food we eat and reaches for either the food or the fork/spoon itself.

Bailey has found a love for catalog's that I get in the mail! She reaches and grabs at them, then proceeds to rip them up. I realized last night that that probably wasn't a good habit to get into, so I gave her a Christmas present early. I gave her a toy that crinkles (she loves that stuff) and it looks like a book. She had two of her favorite things and was a happy girl.

We also got another laugh out of her (well Wes did). I will post the video so you can see! It is very cute to see how excited Wes was, it truly does melt my heart when I see him that into our daughter. I am very blessed to have a great husband and a fantastic father for Bailey.

Picture time!!!!
