Smarty Pants

I have some pictures I have taken but haven't updated them yet. Bailey is getting so big everyday. She amazes me with all the things she knows and is learning. She has a very strong opinion of her own already and knows what she wants. She is also polite and says "please" and "thank you". I think my heart melts a little more each time when I hear her say "thank you mama".

Bailey loves to color. She calls her crayons "chalk" because of the outdoor chalk we also color with.

I didn't post all of the pictures from my brother's wedding weekend, so here are some I took the morning after at Pete & Heidi's house. Tessa played with her cousin the whole time we were there, it is so great seeing them together. I remember when Tessa was that age and it feels like it was yesterday.

Stopping for some fruit and milk

Uncle Danny and Bailey. Bailey wanted to run and play!

Such a cutie!

I met with a friend for coffee and a snack. The kids played for a bit while we caught up. Bailey was happy just to explore my friend's diaper bag.

Brandy came over on our last day of school to celebrate our great year! Looking forward to teaching 2nd grade with her next year.

Bailey wanted to take her dinner into her house. She loves her play house!

Some of the new things she is doing at 22 months:
  • When she asks to do something, but hasn't cleaned up a mess she has made. I tell her we can't do it until she cleans up. The first few times it took a couple hours to get her to clean up. Now she knows and runs to clean it up. I love it!
  • I realized the other night that she doesn't get into things like she used to. She does like to climb on things. She now gets her chair and pulls it over to a place she needs to reach.
  • She is talking more and more and we are understanding her more and more. Sometimes she says a word and I wonder where she has learned it, daycare I guess.
  • She still loves music and dancing. When she wants to listen to music she yells "BOOM BOOM POW!" which is from a song that is on my iPod.
  • On my iPod she can do these shape puzzles where she has to match the shapes. It is very cool to watch!
  • She talks about her friends Mia and Kai and asks if we are going to see them sometimes. She also calls her Auntie Jen Jen "Jo Jo", very cute!
  • She loves Sesame Street and can name most of the characters. She says Elmo, Abby, Grover, and Cookie (and when you ask what cookie monster says she will put her hands to her mouth and go "nom nom nom"). They have these Sesame Street stickers int he $1 bin at Target and she is OBSESSED!
  • If I can't get her to brush her teeth or bath without yelling at me, I tell her I will give her a sticker if she does it. She actually listens and does it! I love that stickers are working for her at this age. Guess I better stock up on really cool stickers!
