Bailey had her 1 year check up and 4 shots! She was super excited in doctors office and wanted to run around and explore. The doctor was giggling at how much she was into everything, especially her shoes. She kept touching the doctors shoes since they were kind of shiny. Bailey went up to the 15th percentile in weight (at 9 months she was in the 5th percentile). She seemed pretty happy with that. She weighed in at 18.15, so we will call it 19 pounds! She was 5th percentile for her height at 27.5 inches, which is fine since we both aren't tall people. Everything else went great until she had her shots. She cried with tears and all. Once Wes held her after the shots were done, she was a lot better. Her doctor said that she is doing so well and we won't have to go back until 18 months!
When we got home she seemed in need of a snack, so I gave her a toddler biscuit cookie type thing. She may still need a few more teeth for it, but she sure had fun sucking on it until it got soft enough to eat.
Happily eating on her bunny chair while laughing at the cat...
Her band aids from her shots...
Yummy!
Did they give her all 4 shots in one leg? Poor baby. It is so nice to hear that they are doing good and healthy. I hope she is doing okay from the shots. I hated those visits because they look at you with those sad eyes just wondering why you are letting them get pocked. If only we could explain to them at at that age that it is what is best.
ReplyDeleteThey gave her 2 shots in each leg. She did great after she realized she would be fine in Daddy's arms. No side effects or anything.
